Senior Back-end/ Fullstack Developer (Golang)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Back-end/ Fullstack Developer (Golang) to help build and maintain Mtravel, which is ICS Travel Group’s proprietary platform. Mtravel supports Sales, Reservations, Operations, and Finance, playing a key role in driving efficiency across the business.
This role focuses on developing scalable backend systems and integrating Mtravel. It’s a hands-on position with real impact across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new features, enhance existing functionalities, and design, maintain high-performance, scalable backend services and microservices using Go to meet evolving business needs on the Mtravel platform.
  • Create and maintain product and service databases—including accommodations, activities, and transfers—while accurately managing land service rates and pricing data to ensure seamless operations, reporting, and correct quotations and invoicing.
  • Build and maintain efficient background jobs and data processing pipelines, while setting up and maintaining supplier and creditor databases to ensure accurate financial and operational records.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and manage integrations with third-party systems via XML, APIs, and web distribution channels to ensure real-time connectivity with agent portals and client systems, aligning development with business goals.
  • Contribute to system architecture and design discussions to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions, while implementing automated processes for bookings, account management, and workflow improvements within Mtravel.
  • Analyze complex integration challenges and propose robust technical solutions for cross-system compatibility and performance.
  • Conduct in-depth code reviews, enforce high coding standards, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for Mtravel-related issues across the organization.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience, including 3+ years with Golang in production environment, preferably within tourism or ERP systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Go (Golang), with deep understanding of idiomatic Go and its standard library.
  • Experience with Go web frameworks (e.g., Gin, Echo, Fiber) and building RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, including inter-service communication, observability, and system isolation.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, including database integration and query optimization.
  • Experience managing large datasets—including products, rates, and supplier information—and developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Go code.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture, and scalable system design, along with in-depth knowledge of tour operator and DMC processes from bookings to accounting.
  • Familiarity with XML, web services, and various software integration techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues, deliver technical solutions, and ensure smooth, scalable, and reliable software performance.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional, international teams to achieve project goals and implement effective strategies.
  • Clear, effective communication skills in English— both written and verbal.

 

What we offer:

  • Full time, 5 days a week, results oriented position. At times, deadlines and time zones may dictate outside office hours work as part of this pivotal position.
  • Negotiable salary depending on experience.
  • 15 holidays per year, additional days for each year of employment.
  • Annual discretionary bonus.
  • The working location will be in Bangkok, Bali or Ho Chi Minh, depending on where the candidate is located.
