Laos - Champasak - Pakse - Wat Phu
 

The gateway to southern Laos, Pakse sits at the confluence of the Mekong River and the Don River.  Pakse is blessed with beautiful wats and a range of accommodation options, Pakse is a popular base for trips further afield; it offers easy access to the Bolaven Plateau to the east and the Si Phan Don (4,000 islands) near the Cambodian border to the south. 

Day or longer trips may be made to the Bolaven Plateau whose highlights include pristine jungle, multiple tiered waterfalls, coffee plantations and local wildlife including monkeys and hornbills.
