This active excursion offers a glimpse into the daily life of Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar, known for its bustling markets selling produce and handicrafts.Cycle north along the bank of Kyauk Thabeik Creek and stop at Nyaung Kwae jetty to observe the morning activities. Ride back from Kyan Khin village to Ekin market, a small but colourful market selling garments and clothes.Continue to Kywe Zoon jetty, home to many bamboo barges, and then on to Chan Tharyar Htone Kone quarter to observe several kinds of home businesses which produce traditional snacks such as sticky sugar cane juice, popped rice and plum flakes.

Continue on past a dockyard, pot stores and sand production shops to the to Pay Pin monastery which provides education and meals for both novices and children from poor families.

Stop at Shan Kalay Kyun village in Amarapura to gain insight into the lifestyle of the villagers and visit workshops practicing wood carving, furniture making and bronze casting.
