Udaipur Village Trek
In the countryside around Udaipur are hundreds of small tribal villages and hamlets set among agricultural land. The area is backed by the Aravali Mountains and is inhabited by the Bhil tribe, one of the oldest indigenous tribes.
Here the people follow a simple and rustic way of life untouched by commercialism. This is a beautiful place to explore by foot. Trails vary from easy to tough offering great variety to the adventure lover.
Drive for 20 minutes to the start of the trek. Meet your professional guide and set off along undulating terrain. Visit some of the more remote villages to learn about the culture and life of the Bhil tribe. You may also meet some of the old warrior clan of the Rajputs who now earn a living from farming.
See the villagers going about their daily chores, the farmers tending to their crops, and the cattle grazing in the fields.
The trek ends at a scenic area with panoramic views. Spend some time here relaxing; enjoying a picnic lunch; and visiting the temples, one dedicated to Lord Shiva and the other to The Mother Goddess.
