Tour Overview

Off-the-beaten-track Binh Dong has been producing pottery for more than 160 years. In a local factory we can watch the skillful workers forming pots from a special clay found in the area – and even have a go ourselves.

In a calm and beautiful garden we’ll meet a local family who will help us to make traditional Vietnamese rice noodles. By bicycle or a traditional “xe lam” we’ll explore a beautiful rubber forest with stops to try cane juice and rice paper salad.

At a local kindergarten we’ll learn how to cook a family meal – one of the unique Vietnamese traditions. It symbolises reunion and creates strong bonds among the generations. Using fresh organic vegetables from the garden we’ll whip up a delicious local lunch. We’ll also get to see the school itself and bring back our childhood by playing some games in the yard!
