Tjampuhan Ridge Walk and High Tea over the Ayung
Tour Overview
A private transfer will collect you from your hotel and take you to the start of the Tjampuhan Ridge Walk.
The route takes you between two lush river valleys and along the top of the ridge. As you walk take in the fresh air, the sounds of the rural countryside, and the stunning scenery of undulating green hills and verdant rice paddies. After the trek, drive to a nearby restaurant, and relax for a while over a well-deserved lunch.
A short walk brings you to the Antonio Blanco Museum, the house and studio of the late artist, Don Antonio Blanco. Located on a hilltop overlooking the Tjampuhan River, the flamboyant home and lavish studio house an interesting collection of works drawn from different periods of his long career. With his Balinese wife and muse, Blanco lived and worked at his magical hilltop home until his death in 1999, feverishly creating his fantasy portraits of beautiful women.
Stroll through the gardens and see the family temple. You can even step inside his studio which remains undisturbed complete with an unfinished painting on the easel.
From here drive to Mambal village in the outskirts of Ubud. The indulgent experience starts with a flower footbath followed by a relaxing body massage. Then help yourself to a decadent Royal High Tea served in a luxury safari-style tent overlooking the Ayung River. After enjoying the stunning views over the lush river gorge return to the hotel.
