Before arriving at the hotel in Furano, you can visit the Ninggle Terrace, located in the forest, where you can see many traditional handicrafts made of wood and feel the warmth of the wood and the craftsmanship of the artisans. During this season, you’ll be surrounded by lush green leaves and tall trees, creating a fairy-tale-like atmosphere that you can truly immerse yourself in.

Day 2. Furano
After enjoying breakfast, we’ll head to a local farm in Furano to harvest seasonal vegetables! Taking advantage of Furano’s climate, the farmers have nurtured these vegetables with care. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the vegetables firsthand, including explanations about their characteristics and types, while harvesting them with your own hands!
It’ll be a valuable experience to hear stories from the farmers, who are usually busy with no time off. Let’s make pizza with the harvested vegetables together with the local farmers! Whether it’s a rustic-looking pizza or a thick one that didn’t stretch quite right, the pizzas we make with all our effort will be exquisite.
We’ll top them with delicious vegetables and the delightful air of Furano! Now, let’s hope they bake well in the pizza oven!
After enjoying pizza in the middle of the vast fields, let’s explore Furano’s famous spots such as the Tomita Farm and flower fields, as well as other places with magnificent views with E-bikes.
We can easily explore these places on e-bikes, making the ride enjoyable and effortless!
Let’s enjoy dinner with dishes featuring game meat from the Ainu culture, as well as local specialties using ingredients from Furano.

Day 3. Furano – Biei – Otaru
Speaking of Furano, it’s definitely Furano melons! For over 120 years, the farmers here have continued their agricultural legacy. Let’s experience melon harvesting with one of these long-standing farming families! We’ll learn about cultivation methods and different varieties directly from the farmers as we harvest. And then, let’s enjoy eating them! Finally getting to savor fresh and delicious melons will truly make it feel like summer!
After that, let’s head to Biei. We’ll visit the famous Blue Pond, take some photos, and then feel the power of nature at Shirahige Waterfall. In Biei, how about trying an indigo dyeing experience, using natural dyes to color clothing or towels?
Later, in Otaru, we can indulge in kaiseki cuisine made with local premium ingredients and relax in a traditional ryokan with a private hot spring bath in the room, soothing away the fatigue of the journey and enjoying a luxurious time.

Day 4. Otaru & Shakotan
After a leisurely morning, we’ll head to Yoichi, famous for fruit cultivation. There are numerous fruits grown here, and the taste of picking and eating fruit yourself is exceptional! Why not eat to your heart’s content?
After that, we’ll move on to Shakotan, where the flow of the Pacific Ocean brings an abundance of seafood. Here, you can enjoy fresh, natural sea urchin and a special seafood lunch prepared with the morning’s catch!
Once you’ve satisfied your appetite here, we’ll visit untouched scenic spots sculpted by wind and waves. Starting with the strictly prohibited for women, Cape Kamui. Literally translating to “women forbidden cape,” it’s a breathtaking spot, as well as the Shimamui Coast.
Accessible through a tunnel in the mountains, this coast offers a tranquil flow of time where the blue sea and rocks collaborate beautifully. Enjoy the peaceful and breathtaking scenery at each spot!

Day 5. Otaru – Sapporo
Your morning will be spent leisurely exploring the streets of Otaru. While visiting the famous glassworks and music box museum is a must, I also recommend checking out locally crafted items like shoes and accessories, showcasing a commitment to the local community.
After enjoying the port town of Otaru, we’ll head to Ebetsu, a neighboring town of Sapporo. Here, you’ll experience traditional Hokkaido craftsmanship by trying your hand at making Ezo washi paper. Using plants native to Hokkaido as raw materials, you’ll learn to make traditional Japanese paper. With careful guidance from the artisans, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own unique designs and decorations on the special washi paper!
After completion, you can enjoy tea and sweets with the artisan, spending precious time together. You’ll have the opportunity to delve deeper into their world, hearing about the artisan’s thoughts and the secrets behind their craftsmanship.
