Day 1: Vientiane

Sightseeing in Vientiane
Vientiane, the capital of Laos, has a relaxed charm with tree-lined boulevards, interesting temples and colourful markets. Experience the city’s highlights, including the gleaming golden stupa, Pha That Luang, perhaps the most important national monument in Laos; Ho Pha Keo, the formal royal temple, now a museum with beautiful examples of Buddhist sculpture; the temple of Wat Si Saket; and Patuxai, a monumental arch inspired by the Arc de Triomphe, but executed with Lao motifs

Day 2: Vientiane - Oudomxai - Oudomxai Province

Day 3: Oudomxai Province

Discover Namkat, trekking in Rain Forest (private)
We departure from the resort to information centre by resort’s car and then we will make a short walk and visit the information centre. Followed by some trekking up to Namkat waterfall and walk towards the waterfall by flying bridges we can have some great views from the Namkat River top down. Afterwards we will take a break and enjoy a nice lunch at the waterfall.

Following we will do a challenging activity called “Zip-lining”. You will get the feeling of flying as you move very fast from tree to tree. For people who don’t want to do the zip-lining a walk back towards the meeting point will be organized

Day 4: Oudomxai - Luang Prabang

By vehicle from Nam Kat Yorla Pa to Luang Prabang with sightseeing at the Tham Pak Ou caves
From Nam Kat Yorla Pa, travel by road to Luang Prabang, stopping en route at the steep limestone cliffs overlooking the Mekong and Nam Ou rivers, home to the Tham Pak Ou Caves by crossing Mekong River to Pak Ou Cave from Pak Ou Village. These extraordinary caves are filled with Buddha images, of every style and material imaginable. Continue to Ban Xang Hai Village, a local village famous for the production of lao-lao, the local rice wine whisky, before arriving in Luang Prabang

Day 5: Luang Prabang

Sightseeing in Luang Prabang (full day)
Set between the Nam Khan and Mekong rivers, Luang Prabang is an enchanting town filled with historic temples and colonial style buildings. The entire town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. Start the day at Wat Visoun (Wat Wisunalat), the oldest living temple in Luang Prabang, Wat dating back to 1513 and contains a collection of antique wooden Buddhas. Visit the nearby Wat Aham before continuing to Wat Xieng Thong, the crowning jewel of all the monasteries and temples in the city. Its many ornate buildings feature exquisite mosaic and gold-stencilled murals. From there, stroll down the main street of Luang Prabang, stopping at some of the many temples that line its sides, including Wat Sibounheuang, Wat Si Moungkhoun, Wat Sop and Wat Sene.

Continue to the National Museum(Royal Palace), a modest but graceful building which combines traditional Lao and French beaux-arts motifs. This turn-of-the century royal residence has been preserved as it was when the royal family last lived here and provides unique insights into the history of Laos. Then, visit Hor Phrabang. In the right front corner room of the Palace which opens to the outside, is a collection of the palace’s most prized art, including the Phrabang, cast of a gold, silver and bronze alloy. This Buddha stands at 83 cm tall and weighs around 50 kg. Afterwards, visit Wat Mai.

Day 6: Luang Prabang

The Living Land Farm Experience (SIC)
Rice is the ultimate foundation of daily life in Asia and yet it is still a mystery for many visitors. The Living Lands Farm, a community enterprise, is an organic farm operated by a local team and for the benefit of Lao people. It maintains educational programmes and professional organic farming right next to village rice paddies. As part of a small group you will learn how to be a rice farmer for a day. Learn how to select the seeds, plant and plough with the help of the farm’s water buffalo. In this interactive rice farming experience you will be guided through all 13 steps until the very end eating the rice! You will also learn about other traditional crafts such as bamboo weaving, tool and trap making, gardening and even blacksmithing.

Excursion to Kuang Si Waterfalls
From Luang Prabang, travel by vehicle to to Kuang Si Waterfall. This waterfall is located in a perfect natural setting near Luang Prabang, this multi-tiered waterfall tumbles over limestone formations into a series of turquoise pools. Enjoy swimming in the clear water or just relaxing in the natural environment. Visit a local village (Ban Ou or Ban Na Ouane) on the way, before returning to Luang Prabang by vehicle
