Belimbing Trekking

In the early morning drive to the foot of Mount Batukaru in the west part of Bali, to begin the trekking adventure.

Along the way, make a short visit to an interesting local market.

Begin the walk at the starting point which is the hidden Mekori Temple in Belimbing village. This temple is surrounded by forest, and the spiritual atmosphere is felt as soon as you enter the temple complex.

Over five hours experience some of the most beautiful scenery on the island. Walk through ricefields, coffee plantations, jungle and bamboo forest. Pass over hills and valleys and traverse streams and bamboo bridges. All the while keeping a lookout for butterflies, insects, birds and animals. During the walk, the guide will tell you about the local life, farming methods and the “subak” irrigation system that is used to water the fields.

Finally arrive at Muncak Sari Temple where you can relax for a while over a picnic lunch. Return to the hotel by vehicle.
