Update on Bagan, Myanmar earthquake

Please find below additional updates on the situation in Bagan, following the earthquake on Wednesday, 24 August 2016.

Over 300 monuments were damaged. Listed below are a few of the more popular temples and pagodas that will be temporarily closed until further notice, and the Myanmar government has announced it will take up to one year to fully complete restoration work. It is very important to note, however, that there are thousands of temples and pagodas that can still be visited, as well as Bagan’s colorful local markets and villages, so our guests can still have a wonderful experience in this magical destination.
